A pared-back setup that puts the Heart Wheel Feather (L) on a black leather cord with six antique red beads. No chain, no additional pendants — just the cord, the beads, and the feather. The red beads break up the black leather with warm punctuation, drawing attention toward the silver pendant at center without overcomplicating the arrangement.

The Heart Wheel Feather combines two motifs central to Goro's work — the heart-shaped medicine wheel and the feather — each hand-forged at the Harajuku workshop established in 1972. Goro Takahashi developed this hybrid form after years studying Lakota craft and ceremony.

The leather cord gives this setup a rawer, less polished character than chain-based configurations. It sits naturally against skin or fabric and works well at any length from collarbone to mid-chest.

Pool water is not recommended. Swimming pools are usually treated with chlorine, and chlorine reacts with sterling silver. So depending on how much chlorine is in the pool, you’ll probably have to clean your silver with a silver polishing cloth if you’re swimming frequently.
