The right-facing silver feather is the mirror counterpart to the left, and together they form the backbone of the Goro's layering tradition. Forged in sterling silver at the Harajuku workshop, each pendant carries the irregular surface texture that comes only from hand-hammering, a quality that factory reproduction cannot replicate.

Takahashi designed his feathers as directional pairs because balance mattered to him. The right-facing feather typically sits on the left side of a multi-pendant arrangement, working in visual harmony with its opposite. This design logic came from his deep study of Native American craft principles during his years with the Lakota.

Shower water is generally fine - there aren’t any super harsh chemicals in our tap water that would react significantly with your sterling silver jewelry. The soap and water can even help wash away any residue from your skin and dirt in the air that can also cause your silver to look dull.

Pool water is not recommended. Swimming pools are usually treated with chlorine, and chlorine reacts with sterling silver. So depending on how much chlorine is in the pool, you’ll probably have to clean your silver with a silver polishing cloth if you’re swimming frequently.
